Terms of Service

By using mycardsell.com or submitting a gift card to us, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and the Seller Agreement that applies to each submission. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

MyCardSell buys unwanted gift card balances from individuals and pays for them electronically. We are an independent buyer. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the retailers or brands whose cards we purchase. Brand names are used only to identify the type of card being sold.

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be the lawful owner of the gift card you submit, or have the owner's clear permission to sell it.
• You must provide accurate information about yourself, the card, and your payout destination.
• You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or sanctions programs.

• You choose a brand and enter the balance, and the site shows the payout amount before you submit anything.
• You submit the card details voluntarily, along with the payout method you prefer.
• We verify the card and check the balance promptly after submission.
• If the card is valid, we email you and ask for your explicit final authorization.
• Only after you confirm do we redeem the card and release your payment.
• If you do not authorize the redemption, the card is not used.

The rate shown on the calculator reflects current market conditions for that brand and is shown to you before you submit. A quote applies to the balance you entered. If verification shows a different remaining balance, we recalculate the payout using the same rate and the verified balance, and we tell you the corrected amount before anything is redeemed.

• Do not submit a card you do not own or are not authorized to sell.
• Do not submit stolen, fraudulently obtained, altered, or duplicated cards.
• Do not use or spend the balance after you have authorized us to redeem the card.
• Do not submit the same card more than once, or submit a card that has already been sold elsewhere.
• Keep your payout details accurate. We are not able to recover funds sent to a destination you entered incorrectly.

We may decline any submission at our discretion, pause a transaction for additional review, request identity verification in unusual situations, and report suspected criminal activity to the appropriate authorities and card issuers. Transactions may be reviewed for security purposes at any stage.

All payments are made electronically to the destination you selected. We never offer, arrange, or accept cash payments. Details are set out in our Payment & Payout Policy.

We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features, supported brands, and rates may change at any time. Rate changes never apply retroactively to a quote you have already accepted.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any transaction is limited to the payout amount agreed for that transaction. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from information you entered incorrectly.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, that is linked to fraudulent submissions, or that we are required to restrict by law. You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to close your account.
